Die Fabian & Claude Walter Galerie freut sich in Zusammenarbeit mit Philippe David und Ennik Fine Art bis zum 30. April 2021 die Ausstellung MINIMAL – CONCEPTUAL – ABSTRACT zu zeigen.


Die Begriffe und Bewegungen der Minimal-, Konzept-, und abstrakten Kunst sind kunsthistorisch in den Zeitraum der 1950er bis 1970er Jahre verankert und haben seither einen wichtigen Einfluss auf die Entwicklungen der zeitgenössischen Kunst. Die Ausstellung MINIMAL – CONCEPTUAL – ABSTRACT nimmt diesen Faden auf und zeigt anhand einzelner Werke, wie aus den unterschiedlichsten Zeiten, sich die einzelnen Kunstrichtungen der Modernen Kunst gegenseitig bis heute beeinflusst haben.
Gezeigt werden Arbeiten von Max Bill, Alfonso Fratteggiani Bianchi, Dan Bina, Alighiero Boetti, Sean Dawson, Gotthard Graubner, Joanne Greenbaum, Arnold Helbling, Hanspeter Hofmann, Rebecca Horn, Lenz Klotz, Willem de Kooning, Robert Mangold, Serge Poliakoff, Richard Serra, Vladimir Walmar Shwab, André Thomkins, Richard Tuttle, Victor Vasarely, Bernar Venet, Hugo Weber, Erwin Wurm und weiteren.

The terms and movements of minimal, conceptual, and abstract art are anchored art historically in the period from the 1950s to the 1970s and have had an important influence on developments in contemporary art ever since. The exhibition MINIMAL – CONCEPTUAL – ABSTRACT takes up this thread and shows how the individual art movements of modern art from diverse times have influenced each other up to the present day.

The exhibition shows works by Max Bill, Alfonso Fratteggiani Bianchi, Dan Bina, Alighiero Boetti, Sean Dawson, Gotthard Graubner, Joanne Greenbaum, Arnold Helbling, Hanspeter Hofmann, Rebecca Horn, Lenz Klotz, Willem de Kooning, Robert Mangold, Serge Poliakoff, Richard Serra, Vladimir Walmar Shwab, André Thomkins, Richard Tuttle, Victor Vasarely, Bernar Venet, Hugo Weber, Erwin Wurm and others.

Two paths, two experiences and two different tastes yet the same vision: to carefully select works which best represent each artist. Each one of them is remarkable for their originality, their quality, their guaranteed authenticity and their perfect state of conservation.

We are delighted to have been able to assemble pieces of various techniques (paintings, works on paper, sculptures, photographs, lithographs), covering different artistic movements from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day – each work of art being unique, each collector being unique.

THIRTY UNDER THIRTY is the result of this selection: 30 works under 30,000 CHF.

Cologne Fine Art and Design fair is postponed due to the continuing corona pandemic to November 2021

Statement by the fair management:

The reasons for this are the still major challenges involved in carrying out trade fair events and the continuing travel restrictions as a consequence of the corona pandemic.
